If you’ve ever wondered how a new course or program gets created, I thought I’d pull back the curtain and show you exactly how The Visibility Loop came to life, including the twists and turns.
It didn’t start with “I’m going to build an email course.”
It started with a single article and a conversation with a longtime colleague.
It all started with one powerful article
Earlier this year, I wrote an article called Maximize Visibility with LinkedIn and Substack.
In it, I laid out a simple, repeatable system to connect two of the most powerful audience platforms — LinkedIn and Substack — into a visibility flywheel.
I shared five clear steps, plus AI-powered prompts to make it even faster to implement.
It became one of my most popular articles.
A live conversation sparked the next idea
Not long after, I appeared on
’s Content Profit Show, where we brainstormed the article’s potential.Jeff immediately saw it:
"This could be a whole workshop," he said.
"You could walk people through each step live — have them write LinkedIn posts, optimize their profiles, even map out their Substack growth plans with you."
It made total sense.
This is more than just an article; this is a system people can use right now.
The framework was already built. I could easily guide people through it live, adding examples, answering questions, and helping them get real work done during the session.
At first, I thought:
Maybe a 2-hour workshop?
Maybe a 3-day bootcamp?
Even perhaps a mini-membership down the line?
But then... I paused.
Because something didn’t sit quite right.
I listened to my audience and trusted my instincts
It took a few weeks to buckle down and consider what I wanted to create.
I thought about the solo business owners I work with every day and their reality:
Busy schedules
Short attention spans
A desire for quick wins they can implement immediately
Another long workshop wasn’t what they needed, and I didn’t have time in my schedule to build and teach a workshop.
They didn’t want another video to watch.
They wanted small steps they could take right away.
That’s when it clicked:
What if I turned this into an email course instead?
Bite-sized lessons.
One action per day.
No login portals, no Zoom calls, no overwhelm.
Just straight to your inbox. Simple, doable, fast.
I used AI to speed up the creative process
Even though I had the basic structure from the article, I didn’t want to copy-paste it. The process needed to be fleshed out beyond what was in the article.
I wanted to make the experience more streamlined, focused, and actionable.
So I used AI (specifically ChatGPT) to:
Brainstorm daily lesson breakdowns
Draft different ways to frame each day's challenge
Refine the prompts so they are even easier to implement
Check the flow and pacing across the 10 days
AI made the creation process faster, cleaner, and more efficient.
It helped me move from "outline" to "ready-to-deliver" much faster than if I were doing it alone.
Why I priced it the way I did
Because this is a beta launch, I wanted to make it incredibly easy to say yes, especially for my audience of solo business owners.
I priced it at just $19 for the first 25 people.
It’s a complete system you can use right away, and I wanted early adopters to feel like they got tremendous value.
Later, the price will go up (because the results it helps create are worth a lot more). But early on, it felt right to reward the action-takers ready to put it into motion.
I also want to get feedback I can use to make tweaks and improve.
Looking back: The keys to creating something fast and valuable
If you’re thinking about creating your course, challenge, or mini-program, here’s what worked for me:
Start with something that’s already resonating. (In my case, a high-performing article.)
Talk it out with someone you trust. (Thanks, Jeff!)
Stay flexible about the format. (The best delivery method isn't always the first one you think of.)
Use AI as a creative partner. (But stay in charge of your ideas and voice.)
Design for how your people live, not how you wish they lived. (Short, fast, and practical wins every time.)
To experience the system I created firsthand, you can check out The Visibility Loop here.
And if you're ever stuck trying to turn your ideas into a course or offer, remember:
You don’t have to overcomplicate it.
One problem, one bite-size solution wins every time.
You have to meet your audience where they are and make it easy for them to succeed.
Terrific tutorial. Thanks for always being our trailblazer!
Great job Denise!
Go get this stuff folks :-)
