In this week’s Your Visibility Edge article, How to Show Your Expertise Through the Content You Publish, I shared how I used ChatGPT to examine a recent consulting engagement with Elizabeth Cottrell.

The exercise helped me recognize professional judgment that has become so familiar I rarely think to explain it. Things such as asking questions that clarify priorities, noticing connections between problems, and deciding which actions deserve attention first.

I also realized that AI could identify patterns in my work, but I needed to explain the reasoning and personal values behind my decisions.

You can use a similar process to examine your own client work.

These three prompts build on each other. By the end, you’ll have identified a meaningful professional decision and developed an article based on your experience.

Start with a recent client engagement. You can use session notes, a project summary, a testimonial, or your own recollections. Remove confidential information and identifying details before sharing client material with an AI tool.

Your experience holds plenty of examples worth sharing. As a paid subscriber, you get three AI prompts to help you find the professional judgment in your client work, choose what deserves to be published, and turn it into content that shows prospective clients how you think.

Consider upgrading to paid and start making more of your expertise visible.
